West Coast Railway Association

The West Coast Railway Association is an historical group dedicated to the preservation of British Columbia railway history. Membership is open to all people with an interest in railways past and present. We are a non-profit British Columbia society, registered as a Canadian charity.

The West Coast Railway Association presents the story of how the railways were a catalyst in the creation of Western Canadian communities and their economies. This is done primarily at the West Coast Railway Heritage Park in Squamish, BC where the collection of 95 heritage railway locomotives and cars are exhibited in a typical small community setting. WCRA also operates specialty rail tours and the Locomotive 374 Pavilion in Vancouver.

Our Mission

Preserving British Columbia's Railway Heritage.

We need your help!

The immediate need is some funding to source and purchase parts for the maintenance and repair of the working locomotives and Budd Rail Diesel Cars (RDCs). Our volunteers are performing the work but we need parts. Our operational locomotives are our first priority. CN 6520, CP 4069, CP 6503, PGE 561 and RDC’s BC-21 & BC-33 are all depending on parts and repair work to run properly. We also need to conduct repairs to some Air Conditioning and washroom parts for the five passenger coaches.

Your donations go directly towards the preservation and restoration of our collection. Thank you for your support!
