Public Transit

Go Green! Take Transit! All public transit service to Cameron Centre is provided by Translink.

Fares:

  • Adults (14-64) $2.50
  • Concession (5-13, 65+) $1.75
  • Day Pass $9.00 (Adult) $7.00 (Concession)

Plus, Sunday Farecard Special if you have a monthly pass: on Sundays you can use your Farecard and take 5 others with you for free. A Total of six: Two adults (14 and older) and up to 4 children (13 and under) ride on a single Adult Farecard, West Coast Express 28 day Pass or Annual Employer Transit Pass (does not apply to Concession Pass). Note a child can be substituted for one Adult Passenger.

Transfers:

A transfer lasts 90 minutes from time of purchase and is valid on all Coast Mountain Buses, Community Shuttles, Sky Train Lines and SeaBus. West Coast Express does not operate on weekends.

Transit Options

The following buses/SkyTrain terminate at Lougheed Town Centre Station:

  • SkyTrain: Serves Vancouver, Burnaby, Richmond, New Westminster, and Surrey. Connections available from all municipalities served by Translink.
  • Bus: 97 B-Line (Express) Serves Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam and Port Moody.
  • Bus: 151/152/157 Serves suburban Coquitlam and Port Coquitlam.
  • Bus: 101 Serves uptown New Westminster to the 22nd Street SkyTrain Station.
  • Bus: 110/136 Serves Burnaby. The 110 stops directly in front of Cameron Centre.
  • Bus: 156 Serves Coquitlam (Northwest).
  • Bus: C9 Serves New Westminster SkyTrainStation via Columbia Street
  • Bus: C24 Serves College Park, Glenayre and Port Moody.
To get to Cameron Centre from Lougheed Town Centre Station simply walk through Lougheed Town Centre, exiting at Wal-Mart. Walk through the parking lot and cross Cameron Street where Cameron Centre has signage directing you into the building.

Public Parking

Parking space at Cameron Centre is always very limited, spots are generally full with in one hour of opening. Please respect handicapped designated parking spots or risk being towed. Western Rails has an agreement with Lougheed Town Centre Management allowing our visitors to take advantage of their parking facilities. All parking along Cameron Street, at the Town Centre, and at Cameron Centre is free of charge. There are time restrictions on some spots. If you use the parking facilities at Lougheed Town Centre, please consider repaying their generosity by visiting their facility for lunch, or perhaps dropping off other family members to shop.

All participants and guests of Western Rails are strongly urged to take public transit.

Food Services

Cameron Centre
Show Concession: In the Lower Lobby directly outside of the display hall/gym - providing tea, coffee, soft drinks, hot dogs, doughnuts, chips, at reasonable prices. Open from 08:30 to 15:30.

Operated by the Concessionaires from Burnaby Central Railway.

Lougheed Town Centre
Lougheed Town Centre has a full food court with many options including A&W, Starbucks, The Manchu Wok, Koyo Japan, New York Fries, and much more. International House of Pancakes is located on the north-west corner (outside) of the Town Centre. Outside the Town Centre (Across the parking lot) is a Red Robin and local pub.

North Road
North Road (2 blocks east of Cameron Centre) is home to a number of Restaurants. At the corner of Cameron & North Rd there is Subway and several other restaurants.
Further south on North Road you find White Spot and Dennys along with McDonalds and several other fast food chains and local restaurants.

Accessibility - Cameron Recreation Complex

Cameron Centre has handicapped designated parking spots, and is easily accessible from outside. The difficulty, however, is that the two floors have no elevator. There is a wheel chair lift in the South-West Stairwell that may be available. Please ask Cameron staff for assistance. Guests msy need to go around the building via the sidewalk if using the upper (east) parking lot. All transit to Lougheed Town Centre is accessible.
