Friday, July 11th
Free** pickup at your Lower Mainland area home or hotel is organized for about 9:00 AM for departure from Vancouver's International Airport by Air North for Whitehorse, Yukon Territory. Flight departure time is 11:30 AM with a flying time of 2-1/2 hours. Upon arrival at Whitehorse's modern airport you take a scenic tour along the Alaska Highway to Miles Canyon and then check in at the Gold Rush Inn for the afternoon and evening. There is much to see in this Territorial capital of 23,000 people. Visit the restored "Klondike" river boat and ride the riverfront trolley. We also recommend the "Frantic Follies" revue, for great entertainment and fun, at the Westmark Hotel and conference Centre, a short walk from your hotel. L

Saturday, July 12th
You have the morning free to visit the attractions in Whitehorse. An early lunch is suggested in preparation for your 1:30 PM departure by chartered motorcoach on the South Klondike Highway to Skagway. Rest stops will be made in Carcross and scenic overlooks. Arrival is expected to be 5:00 PM (Alaska Time) depending on the duration of border crossing formalities. Your hotel is the Westmark, centrally situated in the village. B

Sunday, July 13th
You must have an early breakfast today in order to get aboard the special steam excursion to Fraser Meadows. Boarding commences at 7:15 AM for departure at 7:30 AM. (8:30 AM BC time). The station is one block around the corner from the hotel. This 85 km round trip terminates at Fraser Meadows, BC, 10 km north of White Pass. Upon your return just before noon you will have the afternoon free in Skagway to explore this historic village. Your tour guide will have dinner suggestions about a good variety of restaurants in the village. B

Monday, July 14th
After an early breakfast a motorcoach will load at 7:20 AM at your hotel to take you to the WP&YR car shops where you will board the special "Yukon Adventure" train for Carcross. We board at 7:30 AM for a 7:45 AM departure. Awaiting you at Lake Bennett will be a hot meal. You arrive in Carcross at 2:30 PM (3:30 PM, BC time). Here, your motorcoach will transfer you to Whitehorse Airport where you may take dinner. There should be time to visit the Museum of Transportation and the famous Beringia Centre near the airport before boarding the 7:35 PM Air Canada flight to Vancouver. We arrange transportation to your home in the lower mainland. B, L

Extra day option: Enjoy some more time in Whitehorse and catch the sights you missed on Friday or Monday. Stay overnight on the 14th and leave for Vancouver the next afternoon.

Tuesday, July 15th
Check out of your hotel by 11:00 AM and we pay for your taxi to the airport. Board Air Canada for Vancouver departing at 1:30 PM. Vancouver arrival is at 3:45 PM. You can also take the 7:35 PM flight if desired. Add only $86 per person to the basic fare below.

Alaska add-on option:
Feeling like more adventure? Now that you are here in The North why not continue further on Air North to Dawson City, Old Crow, and on to Fairbanks. Then take the Alaska Railroad to Anchorage (or we can fly you there) for a stay of your choosing. We return you to Vancouver on Air Canada from Anchorage any evening. We can customize your itinerary for the number of days you would like to add on and quote you very competitive pricing including local hotels.

FARES: The 4-Day Tour, Friday to Monday is only $1494 each. Based on shared accommodation. Single Supplement - $346. Included in the price: All trains, airfares, and buses, local guides, tour director, hotels, most gratuities, meals as noted, museum admissions. GST extra on Canadian portion only.

Note: This low fare is subject to early booking at our special group rates on Air Canada and Air North. If you book too close to the departure date the fares will rise considerably and we will have to re-quote the amount required. Book early to get the lowest fare.

Because we make financial commitments on this popular tour months in advance there are NO cancellations permitted once you have booked. As agents for RBC Travel Insurance we sell cancellation and interruption coverage to protect your investment which must be purchased at time of booking. A deposit of 10% due 1 week after reservation will hold your space. Final payment is due 45 days prior departure. We are limited to only 40 persons on this tour. We do start a wait-list if needed so phone us in case it is close to departure date in case space becomes available.
