A Visit to the West Coast Railway Heritage Park - What You Will See

CN Roundhouse and Conference Center

Opened in 2011, it has 21,000 square feet on the main floor and can house 7 locomotives or other pieces of rolling stock. The building is geo thermally heated, with a well at its northeast corner drawing water from 98 feet below, with a constant 48 degrees F. year round. Heat pumps then extract heat from the water in the winter, and cool in the summer, to heat and cool the building very cost efficiently.
