The following note was received from Jeryll Smith of Burnaby, BC…..
"I received this article (Plowing Snow on the Coquihalla, by Bill Yeats) last night from my brother, Lee Smith, and it brought a smile to my face and old memories of CPR stories came flooding back. L (Les) Smith was our father and I grew up with trains, moving back and forth across the country as Dad's job moved him from place to place. The description of Dad calling his cook, Mr. Wong, the "General Manager Wong" and of him sleeping on the floor of his car in a sheepskin coat were wonderful. He was a stern boss, expected nothing but the best from his employees, but was also very fair and cared about their welfare.
"I would just like to thank Mr. Bill Yeats for his story and let him know how much it reminded me of so many railroad memories".
