The Grey Ghost:
This 1937 Ford V-8 sedan was converted for use on railway tracks by the Pacific Great Eastern Railway using the
simple expedient of bolting disks of steel behind the wheels to act as flanges.
The late Ed Aldrich kept the car in tip top condition from the time of
its purchase in 1937 until it was sold in 1968.
The "Grey Ghost" was bequeathed to the West Coast Railway Asssociation by the Royal British Columbia
Museum upon the closure of the Cloverdale Transportation Museum in 1992.

The car is in perfect working condition and is started up and run on a regular basis. Eventually the flanges will be
re-installed and the "Grey Ghost" will return to her job of inspecting the track on the West Coast Railway
Heritage Park thus helping to interpret another phase of railway history.
Fire Engine: A 1953 Ford Fire Engine used by the PGE and the District of Squamish
for many years.
Krane Kar: A small mobile crane used for years in the BC Rail car shop.
Machine Tools: A small steam engine, lathes, drill press shaper from the Cansteam
collection will be housed in the Machine shop to be built alongside the Car shop.
