OHIO STEAM CRANE #2055
This self propelled crane, capable of lifting 20 tons is a steam locomotive in its own right. It is typical of cranes that were found in thousands of industrial sites across North America. When this crane came to the end of its working life it had no value to its owners and was discarded. It was rescued from the mud of the Fraser River by a dedicated group of volunteers known as Cansteam.
Their skill and perseverance over a period of 2 years brought her back to operating condition. No. 2055 was on display at Cloverdale for years where it was in operation on many occasions. Although she is oil fired, Cansteam volunteers used wood for fuel and it steamed very well indeed. She also made an appearance at Steam Expo in 1986. This Vertical boilered Ohio crane has a Fuel capacity (oil) of 300 gallons and a water capacity of 250 Imperial Gallons.

In 1992 Cansteam generously donated No. 2055 to the West Coast Railway Association.
