No. 5161 was built as Colonist Car No. 7261 as part of lot 437, an order of 54 Colonist
cars built for Canadian Northern Rolling Stock Ltd. but lettered for Canadian National.
The car was re-numbered into CNR Colonist series as No. 2811. Later it was rebuilt to a
coach but the date for this conversion is unknown.
In the early 1960's it was taken out of service and converted to work car CNR 60603 and
purchased in 1991 for preservation by the West Coast Railway Association.
